Due to a very slow computer and the fact that I'm still using dialup; I really haven't to active here and due to the fact that most of the poeple that I watch have become completely inactive here hasn't helped my "motivation" either. I'm still trying to figure out why one of the first friends that I made here on now seems to completely ignore me altogether with no explanation either; that one HURTS! OK; that's enough of the "depressing stuff"... let's MOVE ON; Shall we??

I'm not sure how "well" I'll be able to do this with many of you because as the title of this journal entry says; "it's been awhile" with many of you! I'll give it my best shot though!

As for what's been happening in my life; I have been serving in a pastoral position in a local church for almost 2 years now, while also taking online college courses in pursuit of becoming an ordained minister and this Saturday (July 12th) that will finally become a reality! Yup, people can actually call me "rev" and I'll be able to "marry" as well as "bury" people! Being restricted to just the latter was really begining to "suck"; y'know? I'm not sure "where" that will lead me as far as ministry goes, but at least I'll be more READY for whatever is coming my way (hoo-ha)!

I may have "lost" a few friends here on which DOES sadden me somewhat, but I have also made some new friends recently and I'm certainly grateful for that! The teenaged ones especially, as I love their youthful enthusiasm. It brings back memories from the days when my wife and I were quite active in youth ministry. We still are active with youth through our entertainment ministry, but not like we were years ago. All in all, being as active as we are, with all of our physical "ailments" from our ever advancing ages; I truly am "counting our blessings".....especially our 6 grandchildren!!
